The Process of Becoming a Host Employer

Partnering with BEC as a host employer involves the following steps:

Expression of Interest

Needs Assessment

BEC will work with you to understand your organization's needs, potential placement opportunities, and the types of skills you are looking for.

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

A formal agreement outlining the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of both your organization and BEC will be established.

Placement Matching

BEC will identify suitable individuals whose skills and interests align with the opportunities available at your organization.

Placement Agreement

A specific agreement outlining the details of each placement, including duration, tasks, learning objectives, and supervision arrangements, will be developed.

Placement Commencement and Support

The individual will commence their placement at your organization, with ongoing support and communication between your team and BEC.

Feedback and Evaluation

Regular feedback will be exchanged to ensure the placement is a positive and productive experience for both the individual and your organization.

Logbook Management and Alignment with Educational Standards

All participating students and apprentices are required to submit regular logbooks detailing their activities, learnings, and achievements. These logbooks are submitted directly to BEC, who are responsible for processing them and meticulously ensuring they align with the key milestones outlined in the Council for the Built Environment (CBE) framework and the desired graduate attributes established by educational institutions.
